How to Care indoor cactus

Thousands of species of cactus plants exist in the wild, including two large groups of cacti grown as houseplants: desert cacti and forest cacti

Among the toughest of all houseplants, desert and forest cacti have a unique, stark beauty, making them a statement piece for any windowsill or brightly lit room.

Light Cacti require four to six hours of bright sunlight daily. However, some species of both desert and forest cactus may burn in direct sunlight.

Soil Desert cactus grows best in a fast-draining soil mix designed specifically for cacti.

Water During the spring and summer, when your cactus is actively growing and blooming, give it a good, hearty drink every 10 days, allowing it to drain thoroughly.

Temperature and Humidity Cactus prefers hot temperatures, ranging from 70 to 80 F. In the winter, the plant prefers a cool-down period, with temperatures hovering near 55 F.

Fertilizer Cactus can survive some of the harshest conditions on earth, making any effort in fertilization welcome, but not necessary.
